We are Hiring!

Geo-Environmental Engineer/ Consultant (0 - 3 years)

WHY?

We are super-busy doing an excellent job for a growing list of clients and need some help to deliver on a diverse range of exciting projects.

The future looks bright and we are growing the team whilst remaining true to our values and purpose.

Culture is all important. Check our social media channels to see how we live our values #livelifeyellow

WHO?

We are fully commited to gender equality and flexible working and will consider requests for full or part-time working patterns with home based working to suit. A life-work balance (deliberately with life first) is essential for a sustainable future.

We are looking for an enthusastic and resourceful new crew member to join our geo-environmental consultancy team in the UK.

For this post we will consider applications ranging from little or no experience in the sector up to a couple of years in either contaminated land, geotechnics and/ or site investigation.

WHERE?

You will join our exisiting team which is predominantly based around Cardiff.  However, we operate nationally throughout the UK (wherever our clients require our services) and we have a growing network of Associates spread across the UK who are industry-leading experts in a variety of disciplines.  So don't let your geography prevent you applying.

A substantial component of the role will necessitate travel for field-based activities throughout the UK and occasionally internationally, as the need arises.  A full driving licence and a willingness to periodically work away from home will be essential.

Some of our team are also based in North America but it's unlikely the role will involve working out there (yet at least).

WHAT?

The role will be to support our core business service offering, which provides high-end technical geo-environmental consultancy services to help our clients unlock and redevelop land with a deliberate philosophical leaning towards sustainability and sustainable development. This will include working on:

  • Road and infrastructure projects for Government and large civil engineering contractors
  • Site investigations and assessments for electrical substations and switchgear for statutory providers and design engineers
  • Planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
  • Strategic land for housing, working for the national volume housebuilders, Housing Associations and a variety of private developers
  • Risk assessment, remediation & risk management strategies for acquisition/ divestment and redevelopment
  • Technical support to legal and insurance clients advising on environmental matters

This is not a conventional business, and it follows that this is not a conventional job opportunity. There will be no neat little box for you to sit in (either physically or metaphorically).

We are seeking intelligent, creative and personable crew to support the exisiting team of industry-leading experts on some of the most interesting and challenging projects around.

If you have an interest in positively affecting the world around you, are willing to learn, adapt and be part of an amazing team, then please do get in touch (directly via our website, or on social media channels).

Principal - Technical Director

WHY?

The challenges we face are global and the timelines are urgent. Paint-by-numbers consultancy and 'business as usual' is simply not going to cut it. And so.....the direction of travel is set.

We have big plans for our business and we are setting our stall out early in terms of our aspiration to disrupt the industry and to help change the world.

In order to attract and retain the very best team, we need creative and innovative leaders who can help shape and manage our business as it grows.

WHO?

We are looking for an individual who can help, primarily, with the delivery of core business (geo-environmental consultancy) whilst also being adaptable to support a broad range of innovation projects which may or may not cross-cut directly with technical disciplines.

We are fully commited to gender equality and flexible working and will consider requests for full or part-time working patterns with home based working to suit. A life - work balance (deliberately with life first) is essential for a sustainable future.

We are looking for a senior managerial level geo-environmental practitioner who is both technically and commercially adept, can manage teams & client relationships and also think creatively about how the future could and indeed should look.

WHERE?

We operate nationally throughout the UK and beyond and hence there will be a requirement to travel from time to time.  Because we operate over such a wide geographical area, we are deliberately seeking to avoid taking formal office space in any one city.  Our strategy is to work remotely and flexibly but insist on a certain amount of face-to-face team interaction.

For the moment at least, it would be important to be geographically close enough to the existing core team in South Wales to maintain regular contact.

WHAT?

The role will be to support our core business service offering which provides high-end technical geo-environmental consultancy services to help our clients unlock and redevelop land with a deliberate philosophical leaning towards sustainability and sustainable development. • Planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)

  • geotechnical characterisation of soil and rock.

We are seeking managerial level support for all aspects of staff development, financial and commerical management, business development and marketing as well as technical touch points on a broad range of projects.

This is not a conventional business, and it follows that this is not a conventional job opportunity. There will be no neat little box for you to sit in (either physically or metaphorically).  We are seeking intelligent, creative and personable crew to support the exisiting team of industry leading experts on some of the most interesting and challenging projects around.
