We are Hiring!

Senior Data Engineer

Closing date for applications 15th Dec 2020

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead to the design, development and management of Data Lake and Warehouse solutions for an ongoing innovation project.

United Nations research suggests more than half of the global population will be exposed to severe water scarcity within the next four decades as a result of climate change and growing demand. We all have a stake in ensuring water is used ethically, responsibly and sustainably.

This is your opportunity to apply your technical data and coding skills on a project poised to make a significant impact on the sustainable use of water resources in a vital and globally important industry.

The Senior Data Engineer will lead the Data Engineering effort and report directly to the Data Architect and also collaborate with a wider technical team around the world.  The position is offered on temporary fixed term (6 months) basis with the potential to extend to a permanent position thereafter.

This is a complex and multi-faceted innovation project intended first and foremost to help make the world a better and more sustainable place for us all to live.  We need crew members who understand the importance of our direction of travel, and the value of enjoying the Journey along the way.

We are fully committed to gender equality and flexible working and will consider requests for full or part-time working patterns with home based working to suit. A life-work balance (deliberately with ‘life’ first) is essential for a sustainable future.

This is not a conventional business, and it follows that this is not a conventional job opportunity. There will be no neat little box for you to sit in (either physically or metaphorically).

Ideally this role would be home/remote working in UK.  We are willing to consider applications from further afield so don't let your geography limit your horizons.

Some of our team are also based in North America (GMT-6 hours) so there will be a need to work flexibly to some extent around timing to ensure we maintain close communications across the pond.

Further specific detail about exactly what the project is and does is confidential and subject to non-disclosure agreement at this stage. All we can tell you is that truthfully, its super-exciting, globally important, and our existing delivery team serious and credible. Work is already underway.
